I discovered this name from the Pleiades star cluster and have always been fond of it. The sound is pleasant and cute, yet still refined. The Greek 'e' element is attractive to me. Uncommon but not obscure. If I ever had a daughter I would want to name her this.If you've ever met anyone named Merope, please let me know; I've never seen it used on anyone before.

Gorgeous! Merope is one of the Pleiades and is also the name of a star. I'd use this as a middle name.
