In a little-known Greek myth, a very chatty & talkative maiden/nymph named Myia enraged the moon-goddess Selene by attempting to seduce her lover, the sleeping Endymion, & was thus turned by the angry goddess into a fly, who now always deprives people of their sleep in memory of her past life.
