A beautiful, simple name. I prefer Nelle to Nellie due to Nellie the elephant vibes.
My favourite nickname of Eleanor, but can definitely stand alone as a name. Very unique, I work in a school and don't know a single child named Nelle.
Very sweet and classic. I prefer this to Nell as a first name since it looks more feminine and less nicknamey.
I really love the name Nelle. Okay, I might be biased, because my crysh is named Nelle, but still. It's such a pretty name, and she's such a pretty person. Nelle is a beautiful name for a beautiful lady.
Prettier-looking than Nell, but the extra E tacked on to the back is completely superfluous, and may even appear pretentious--I prefer the simplicity of Nell.
My name is Ellen and I love Nelle as a nickname for Ellen. I think it's much more substantial and mature than Elle or Ellie. This was my great-grandmother Mary Ellen's nickname, whom I was named after. I also like this name because one of the characters in To Kill a Mockingbird has the same surname as me.
This is a slightly more feminine spelling of the rather plain and minimalist Nell. It looks prettier, but the sound, of course, is still quite dull. However, this name isn't too child-like, and it sounds more dignified than Nelly by all means.
My name is Nelle, or Lennelle after my great grandparents Leonard and Nella. I love it, but I am biased, although I know plenty of people who hate their names, so I am lucky that I like mine. I would definitely name my daughter Nelle even if I wasn't named it myself.
