NEE-nah. That's how it's said, not NINE. The world doesn't revolve around the English language, ya know. I like Nina, especially spelled this way. It's cute.

I'm from the USA, and I love the name for a boy. Pronounced as the number Nine is pronounced in English. I have several connections to the number Nine & have many reasons it fits. I'm not due for 3 more months, so we'll see.
Uh... if you wish to use this name, then spell it as NinaNine is a number.
As a Frisian person myself, I don't feel very comfortable with your comment. Of course it's a number in English as well, but you'd do good to remember that not every country has English as their first/official/main language. I understand that from your perspective the name looks a bit weird, but a little bit of respect to other languages and cultures would be quite nice.
