It makes more sense to call your daughter Patti the Patty if their name is Patricia because there's no 'y' in Patricia.
I like this so much more than Patty, because hello? Patti Smith, man!
I hate this spelling. It's Finnish for a lump.
I really like this name. Before I got my rabbit, Patti, I thought it was just ok. But when you think about it it is a great name. The "i" at the end is cute and feminine, and Patti reminds of Pat The Bunny, a children's story. But it also has a sense of elegance of the name popular during the American Revolution, Patsy. It sounds good on something cute (like a baby or a bunny) but also can grow with you. Wow! :)
This name is a cute version of Patricia, in my book, preferred to Patty, which is remiscent of a burger roll. Patti indicates sweetness and femininity. It is a very friendly name that feels casual but at the same time, can be sophisticated by the long form of Patricia.
