A sweet name, bit dated in the UK and associated with native English working class and under class of the 40s-60s. Every time I hear this name I think of the 'No Girl's Allowed' scene from the movie Hope and Glory, 1987. I really like it.
This name sounds masculine even with the line on the end.
It's pretty.
Groovy hippie name.
Pauline is a gorgeous and classic name.
Love! Love love love love love! Especially like the Spanish pronunciation of its variant, Paulina. Pow-lina.
My name is Pauline, I am grateful for my name. I was told it meant 'angel in training'.
I do like the name Pauline and I like Polly and Lina for nicknames. Unfortunately though, there is a politician in Australia with this name with very controversial views and so by association, it has put me off of ever using this name.
My name is Pauline Gloria. I was named after my aunt Veronica Pauline. She was my Godmother as well as a great lady. I named my daughter Jacqueline Pauline. To carry the name on as did my ancestors. I always know where and how I met someone by what they call me. Coworkers call me Pauline, friends call me Paula, and family calls me Paul. The older I get the more I appreciate my name and the way I look.
Pauline is also my name and my mom got it from her name Frauline, my name is pronounced as PO-LEEN, but here in the Philippines, my name's a handful so they call me Pau instead. *Pau sounds like Siopao and Siopao is a kind of bun with meat inside. Really good. But nobody likes being teased with a food name.
It's very pretty name and in Russia it's very popular with the spelling Polina and pronunciation Paw-lee-nah. So sweet.
Aw! Don't hate your name, firestar! I think it's graciously strong and dignified.
If you say Pauline in a country accent, it sounds rather odd. I HATE MY NAME!
Pauline is a nice name, and I can't see how boys might want it.
A friend of mine is named Pauline, I don't like the name at all. But knowing her had made me feel different about it. Still, wouldn't name my child that.
My name is actually Andrew but I suit the name Pauline much better! All my friends call me Pauline and I answer to it well, although at home I get called Andrew! I'm not gay or getting bullied or anything, it's just something that's happened at school!
