As a child, my father told me the meaning of my name was "king" or "royalty", which gave me confidence in bearing my name. I was teased often throughout my grade-school years. It wasn't until recently that I've discovered that my name combines elements meaning "advice" and "rule." It symbolizes authority and leadership. Ironic considering the positions I've been in throughout my life experiences. I'm grateful and honored to have the name, possessing many of the traits associated with it, it's empowering actually!

I thought Reginald would be the masculine form of Regina, which would mean king in Latin.
