Ross Poldark is the protagonist character in the tv show and book series Poldark. He is a British Army officer who returns to his home in Cornwall from the American War of Independence.
A bit chavvy.
I prefer this as a surname, but I think it can work as a first name too.
It's such a cool, simple, and nice name. It sounds like the color red in my opinion.
Ross is a pretty cool name. I find it unisex, personally. I actually know a woman named Ross. I used to not really care for it, since we have Ross the store and Ross from Friends. However, I like it now. I love the way Ross sounds.
I know what Ross is, as in the store, but it was the last thing I thought of upon hearing this name. Y'all must do a lot of crafts or something, cause I don't think that's something the average person is going to think of hearing this name. That's just my view, of course, but I'd wager I'm right.
Kinda reminds me of the store.
I think Ross is a pretty solid name. Sweet, short, easy to spell/pronounce. It's not overly common yet not completely unheard of. It reminds me of a fun laid back dude who's always laughing and enjoying life. I knew a kid with the name, he was a pretty cool person.
This was my great-grandfather's name. Ok, ok, he may not have been the best person. But he did have an awesome name! My mother said that if I was a boy this would have been my middle name. I would have been quite lucky if I were a boy!
Nice.
I now associate this name with Ross from Friends.
My middle name is Ross and I am female.
There are four generations of women in my family that have Ross as their middle name and we are very proud of it! And we are of Irish/Scottish decent as well as German.
I love the name Ross. It's one syllable, strong, masculine, rare (compared to other male names today) and in the English language it looks good on paper.
I am named Ross, and I love my name. I also love all of the nicknames I get. It's funny because I've been called the same nicknames forever, yet when I meet someone new, they always think they are the first person to have ever called me that. Some examples are "Ross the Boss", "Rossy", "Rossypoo"... and I'd have to agree that "Ross the Boss" is the most accurate and correct way of describing myself. ;)
I love the name Ross. Very handsome.
This is a unique, cool, strong name for a guy. It makes me think of hottie Ross Lynch. ♥ ^__^
Ross is such a handsome name!
I dislike this name for ONE reason: those Ross stores are NEVER organized! (from my experience, at least) Other than that, I actually like this name.
Slightly ruined for me by the "Ross O'Carroll-Kelly" books but still a good name!
My brother's middle name is Ross (Jacob Ross). He is always being complimented on his name. Also Ross is my mom's maiden name. I think it sounds very strong and masculine.
I think it is a very handsome and masculine name and not a lot of boys have it.
I really hate this name. It's not attractive looking or sounding at all.
I have always liked the name Ross for a boy. Very strong handsome sounding name and one he can grow up with.
