Lovely! I would think of it as a lighter Sofia, though it has its own character. Safiya is just so effortlessly pretty!

I actually really like this name but it just makes me think of Safiya Nygard. Not that she is bad or anything, she’s just the only other person I’ve heard of with this name so I wouldn’t use it.

This is a lovely name and one I probably never would have heard of had I not seen it on this site one day. I prefer this spelling to Safiyyah, it's easier on the eyes and so much prettier.
