I like this name, it sounds more like a surname though so I wouldn’t use it.
A collateral branch of my family tree shows a Sandford Pick Watson, born in 1855 (Leeds, Yorkshire). Remarkably for that period and social class (the father was a railway station master), Sandford was a girl.Presumably she learnt from her own experience: she named her own daughter Nellie.
