Saxon

This name sounds like something white suburban moms would name their sons. They would probably butcher the spelling and spell it Saxynn or something "trendeigh" like that.

Sounds like something UKIP voters and Brexiters would name their sons.

I like Saxon. When I was little I was into this adventure graphic novel series with animals. There was a mouse character I'm pretty sure was named Saxon.

All I can think of is Anglo-Saxon.

I was named Saxon after my aunt. She was named after a character in a Jack London book called The Valley of the Moon. For what it is worth, I always get a very favorable response to my name.

We called our son Saxen (slightly different spelling as there is a brand of equestrian gear called Saxon here and we wanted to differentiate him from that) when he was born in 2012 and we love it. I had to look up what WASP meant as it has no other meaning in New Zealand other than a flying stinging evil creature, so I don't get that whole issue (well it's a non issue for us).

This name has a significant WASPy vibe to it to the point I find it potentially problematic.

Saxon is not so bad (if the bearer is English or of this ancestry). In Italy we have the name Sveva which comes from another tribe. I would never use it but I can see the fascination. It is the same for Norman in my opinion.

This is kind of like naming your son Briton, or Irish. Though I guess Frank is an acceptable name (if a little old-fashioned). Definitely not my style, though.

I named my son Saxon, he is now 2. It's a good strong name.

I hate this name. It makes me think of WASPs. You might as well name your other children White, Anglo, and Protestant. Then I could enjoy some laughter.

To me this name sounds almost noble and makes me think of a warrior in the medieval times. I've never met anybody with this name so it makes it more special and unique. I'm not keen on Saxon as a first name so I'm planning on using it as a middle name.

Sounds like a good name for a golden retriever or yellow lab for some reason.

I think the name Saxon is amazing and strong! It can be both a boy and a girl's name.

This name sounds plain weird. I guess I could understand if a sax player wanted to use it, but I wouldn't recommend it.
