How beautiful is Sherry. It sounds like Shelby or Sheila, and the truth is that I couldn't tell you which of the three I like better. It seems like an adorable, simple and refreshing name to me. Quite recommended. It would be hard for me to imagine a person named Sherry being obnoxious and mean.
It's pretty.
My mother's name is Sherry. I think it is a very pretty name. She doesn't love it. I have only ever heard it one other time (a girl in my ballet class was named Sherry.) She is a hard working woman who enjoys simple things like decorating her home and watering flowers outside. She devoted her whole life to raising her daughters and her work (as a nurse.) She wants everything to be peaceful and everyone to be happy.
When I was in high school, the most popular girl and class president was a very friendly girl named Sherri. She knew everybody and was a bright student. She planned to become a doctor. Don't know if she ever made it, but I named my dog Sherri after her as a tribute.
With all the Blonde girls in my family I'm almost certain my daughter will be blonde, so I'd choose this name since it makes me think of a blonde but I'd spell it Sherrie.
I absolutely LOOOOVE, Love, Love, Love, LOOOOVE this name! It is one of the things I love most about myself. I am my parents' tenth and last child. After I was born, my father came home and asked my eager siblings to suggest some names. One of my brothers, five at the time, said "Blossom", but (thankfully!) my other brother said, "No, name her Sherry!", and I've been enjoying that name ever since. My name is spelt Cherry on my birth certificate, but in second grade my teacher must have thought I was spelling it wrong and made me spell it with 'S'. I now use an affidavit to clear up confusion because I still use both spellings. I like that, but I always insist on one pronunciation, Sher-ree. When my name is spelt with 'C' people call me Chair-ree, which doesn't sound right. It's not me. I love that my name is derived from a fruit, a place in Spain, and the wine made there. I also like that it means 'darling' or 'dear one'. I think this is a lovely name for a little girl because it is fun, optimistic and friendly. Cheery is a nice, modern twist on the traditional spelling. (I can spell it in at least 30 different ways!) Most people like this name, especially guys I've met or dated. I've had people tell me that most girls named Sherry are pretty, and I think so, too.
My mom's name is Sherry and she's a very strong and independent woman. I look up to her and hope to somewhat be like her someday. She's very funny and stays true to her word. I love this name, and might name my future children after her.
The name Sherry was given to 72 baby girls born in the US in 2012.
In The Outsiders Cherry Valance's real name is actually Sherri. Although I like the spelling Sherry better (:
Well, it sounds far better than Brandy, bwahaha! The name is, like Brandy, quite a cutesy and girly name, however. It sounds more like a nickname for a little girl named Sheryl or Sherilyn than the official name of an adult. This spelling is too reminiscent of the drink, even though it sure doesn't sound as trashy as Tequila.
My name is Sherry and I like it because I don't meet many people with this name. It is short for Sheryl, which I like a little better, now that I'm older. I'm glad I spell it with an S rather than a C.
This is my aunt's name, and I hate it. I can't help but think of the beverage. Coincidentally, my mother's name is Kimberly, and I like it much better.
