This was a surname of a math teacher I had. When I first met him, I, too, was a bit concerned ("Mr. See-men? Say, Mun?") But honestly, it's not that bad.

Oh, God, no. D: The pronunciation of Sieman Makes MANY English speakers think of the word "semen"..-. I MUCH prefer good old Simon.
