Siwan is a beautiful name. It is very meaningful for us. My husband found it and I couldn’t get it out of my head. This is the name we chose for our 5th child. My name is Joan, and my baby was born on my birthday. It means God is gracious. How could we not pick this unique pretty name... so fitting. We pronounce it shew-in. Her 1 1/2 year old sister calls her “Shoonie”.

I like this name. I have a fascination with Welsh names at the moment. Since my name is Joan and this is the Welsh form of it, I would consider using this name!

Pronounced "SHOO-awn". I think this name is beautiful! Joan isn't a very pretty name for me and Siwan and the Gaelic "Siobhán" really beautify this rather dull name.
