My husband's first name is Tobin.
His surname is a common first name, so a lot of people reverse the order of his names.
That aside, he receives a lot of compliments on his first name. It's dignified, classic and unusual without being weird.

I was very surprised this summer when I was enrolled in my local High School and found myself shaking the hand of a 16-year-old girl named Tobin. I've never even met a male Tobin, so I was quite shocked. I must say, this name is very fun to reiterate, though it's not exactly my style.

I LUH-OVE this name. You can still call him Toby without the ugliness of Tobias.
