Why would you call your daughter this? Why not call her Toni?

I like Antoinette, but I wouldn't call a daughter (or let anyone call her, unless she liked it) Toinette. Sounds too much like 'toilette' and it's awful either in English or in French.

No offence to anyone named this, but I think it sounds like something you clean toilet chairs with.
