Honestly it's a good nickname for Anthony.
I like Tony as a standalone name for boys. It seems Italian to me. I have known a female with the name, but she spelled it Toni.
Good strong sounding name.
I've honestly never liked this name (no offense to anyone with the name Tony). For a diminutive for Anthony, it isn't THAT bad, but as a full name I despise it.
Rhymes with baloney- Tony baloney!
I like it. It's cool.
I’m not a big fan of it.
Yuck, I hate this name. I like the name Anthony better. Anthony doesn't need a nickname. This sounds more of a nickname to me and this is a name that mostly middle aged men go by. I find it hard to imagine a couple naming their child this.
Tony is the hottest name out there!
Tony is a cute name! Full name or nickname! And I think Tony would be a cute name for a girl. As a full name or a short form of Antonia. I like Tony as a full name or a nickname for boys and girls. I hope to name my daughter Tony Elizabeth or Tony Amelia some day.
What really ticks me off about the nickname Tony and some others like Bill and Bob is that the first initial is different than the actual name therefore you'll be like "Oh yeah my name starts with this letter, but it actually starts with this letter" or "I don't use my real initial."
Tony sounds cute for a pet and sounds great for a nickname! I would never use this as an exact first name.
It's not that bad of a name. Although I've noticed that almost every story that contains a criminal or mobster organization, there is almost always a guy called Tony or Fat Tony. Just putting it out there.
The mob boss "Fat Tony" from "The Simpsons" is the precise reason why I like this name, but not just that, I do like the sound and meaning of the name Tony.
This is a name that always seems to go to the mobster in movies. I don't really like it.
I think it is a very, masculine, and country like. A humanitarian, also my favourite illustrator is Tony Diterlizzi.
Tony backwards is 'Ynot'. Get it? 'Why not?' Anthony 'Tony' DiNozzo said that from NCIS. I like the name Anthony and Tony, it's a very masculine name.
