She is portrayed by actor Alex Newell. The character is notable for being the show's first transgender character.

I actually like my name, but what I don't like are peoples' 'Unique' responses to it.
"Oh what's your name?"
"Unique"
"Oh that's a Unique name." *laughs*
"Yeah hilarious..." *rolls eyes*
"Do you get it do you get it?" *laughs more*
"Not at all" *says sarcastically*
