I honestly don't see how this would be a nickname for Sofia, they're completely nothing alike. I could maybe see Olivia with the 'vi' part. But I feel It's just best-fitting for Vivian, Vivienne, and Viviana.

Can Vivi be a nickname for Olivia, cause I think it very well IS already short for that!

In my opinion it’s weird to have this name be a nickname for any name besides Vivian or Viviana. Also I like this as a nickname but as a full name it’s trying too hard to be cutesy and different. Why do so many people use this as an online name though?

I've heard this pronounced viv - vi, like Vivian, and vee- vee. The viv - vi I know is named Vivienne, and the vee - vee is named Genevieve. I love it as a nickname for both, though I prefer the Genevieve pronunciation.
