This is my favorite name. I want this to be my name! I also love the names: Vivian and Vivienne. The thing I like about the name Viviana is that it's fancy but it's also causal at the same time. If your name is Viviana and you're reading this, you slay.

I love the name Viviana! It's very sophisticated and gorgeous. It also ages well- I can imagine a little girl with the name as well as a 70-year old woman. I do like the name Vivian very much, but Viviana is a less common, more feminine sounding alternative. And the meaning is wonderful- "life".

Viviana is a beautiful name, the way names like Alys, Jessamine, and Charlotte are. It has a classic ring to it, and the meaning 'life' is indeed a bonus. Although I do love Vivien, Viviana is less used and sounds more refined. You can picture a Viviana as a girl with fire-- bold, dashing and ready to experience life. You can also picture her as a silent, bookish and innocent girl with a shy smile on her face. I know the name itself is actually quite young, so I think it's perfect for someone looking for a modern name with a vintage feel to it. Also, there are lots of alternatives for nicknames, like Vivi, Viv, Vian, Viana, Ana, Via, Anne, Vi-Ann or even Vivia, which is a personal favourite. If you think four syllables are too long for daily use, Vivia sounds pretty enough and less girly, and it's unique in the sense that nobody is ever called that. I know some will be turned off thinking that Viviana sounds like Vivien with an a, but I think by pronouncing it-- vy-vy-Ah-na, it is a name, in its own right. Plus, it's from a Roman christian martyr Saint Bibiana, so it's cool for Christian parents looking for alternatives for Mary and Christina. Also, who wouldn't love to be addressed as 'life' every time others utter her name?

I like Vivian more.

My step-mother bears the name and it's the perfect name for her. It's so sophisticated, elegant and gorgeous, just like she is. Viviana is an absolutely lovely name and the nickname "Viv" is also super adorable. I'm shocked it's not more popular.

Over the summer, my Spanish teacher asked us to think of a new name for class. My old name was Ana, but now I'm SO going for Viviana, shortened to Vivi. This is a gorgeous name, and I love it!

Viviana is a wonderful alternative to Vivian or Vivienne. It has such a nice sound to it! I always think of a beautiful girl when I hear this name, short and sweet. I pronounce it vi-vi-AH-nah before I knew most pronounced it vee-vee-AH-nah. I still prefer it vi-vi-AH-nah though. :)
