Wilburn Cartwright (1892 – 1979) was an American lawyer, educator, U.S. Representative from Oklahoma, and United States Army officer in World War II. The town of Cartwright, Oklahoma is named after him.

Wilburn Hollis (born 1940 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi) was a American college football player for the University of Iowa from 1959–1961 and one of the first African-Americans to earn All-American honors at quarterback. He led the Hawkeyes to a Big Ten championship as a junior in 1960 and was named a second team All-American that season.
