Description: At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, she was the winner of the women's 100 metres freestyle event as well as the women's 400 metres freestyle event. She placed second (and thus won the silver medal) at the women's 100 metres backstroke event, also at the same Summer Olympics.
