Description: At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, he was the winner of the men's 50 metres freestyle competition as well as the men's 100 metres freestyle competition. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, he was the winner of the men's 50 metres freestyle competition as well as the men's 100 metres freestyle competition. At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, he placed second (and thus won the silver medal) at the men's 100 metres freestyle competition in swimming.
