Possibly meant "devotee of Freyja" from the Old Norse element vé meaning "devoted, dedicated" or "home, temple, sanctuary" (compare the word *véseti "one who sits with (= is in charge of) a Vé (= temple, sanctuary)") combined with the name of the goddess FREYJA.
