Latinate form of XANTHIPPE. Saint Xantippa or Xanthippe and her sister Saint POLYXENA were Spanish martyrs of the 1st century. The apocryphal Acts of Xanthippe and Polyxena is a 3rd- or 4th-century account of their lives.
