Meaning & History

Latinized form of Greek Κλεοχαρεία (Kleochareia), derived from κλέος (kleos) "glory" and χάρις (charis) "grace, kindness". In Greek mythology, Cleocharia was a naiad and queen consort. She was the wife of King Lelex of Laconia and the mother of Myles and Polycaon.
