Meaning & History

Name of a Taino leader who fled from the Spanish to Cuba. When he was captured he was asked if wanted to be baptized so he could go to heaven. He then asked if the Spanish went to heaven. The priest answered yes and he said that he would not want to spend eternity with the Spanish because they where the most evil horrible people he had ever met. He is now remembered as a Cuban hero.
