Created by author George R. R. Martin for a character in his series of fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire and the television adaptation House of the Dragon (2022-). In the series, Alicent Hightower is the daughter of Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, and the second wife of King Viserys I Targaryen. It might be inspired by medieval names such as Alison, Millicent and Elisenda.
