The first element of this name is derived from Polish bóg "god", which is ultimately derived from Proto-Slavic bogъ "god". The second element is derived from Polish sądzić "to judge" (also compare Croatian suditi and Czech soudit, both of which mean "to judge"). As such, the meaning of this name is roughly "God judges".
