In my opinion, Alexis is not a nn. I like it, it doesn't seem too young. Caitlin is NMS at all.

I like Caitlin, though it's terribly popular here. But who am I to speak of popularity? It's never stopped me from liking a name before. :) And Cait is a great nn.
I don't care for Alexis at all, but that could be because I don't really like Alexandra, Alex, Alexander, Alexandria, etc, sorry. I would say that if you did use it, I would like it better as a nn than a full name. Definitely sounds feminine, but not particularly mature, perhaps because all of the Alexis's I have known have been young girls.

Both are overused, boring, outdated, trendy, popular...need I go on? I don't mind Alexis for a boy, but I'd rather not see it at all.

I like Alexis as a boys' name only. I would prefer Alexa as the nickname for Alexandra. I like Caitlin. It ages well, but because of its current popularity, it could become quite dated like the Jennifers and Amandas of the '80s (myself included in there).

Alexa, IMO would be better as a nn for Alexandra.
Alexis is better as an independent name.
I LOVE Alexander/Alex on a boy.
Alexis is feminine, and I really don't think it's too childish. When you think about it, when the new generations are growing up they will all have [what we now consider modern] names. So, there will be plenty of Ashleys, Alexis's and Caitlin's.
I love Caitlin [I prefer Caitlyn, Katelyn or Kaitlyn.] You could always use the nn Cate or Catie, both which would age well.

Caitlin is OK, though not a favourite of mine. It's a sweet, cute, delicate girl's name. I cannot, however, stand the name Alexis on a girl, partly because I like it so much on a boy. I think it's a handsome and a very sophistocated masculine name, but on a girl it's just big pile of blarggghh. I don't like it at all.

I like Caitlin too, but maybe you could consider Catherine.

I love Alex-names but Alexis is one I dislike a lot. It sounds very male to me and also a bit harsh. I like Alexandra though!

Caitlin is lovely! I agree it sounds a bit cutesy, but when she is older she could always go by Cait or Kate. I also think that Caitlin would go better with your other top girl/boy names.

I like Alexis for a girl name. I like names like this, such as,
Alexandria
Alexandra

And ofcourse Alexander for a boy. But I would only call a boy Alex as a nn IMO.

I like Alexis better than Caitlin. I have a step sister with this name but she spells her name Katelyn. But I find Alexis really pretty.

I like Alexis but I think it's better on a boy. But I definitely think it's better than Alexandra. I really dislike that name especially since it's almost always shortened to Alex. I think you should use Alexis as an independent name.
I only like Alexander as a MN. It is really a great MN. But I'm tired of all the Alex- names to be honest. I think Alec would be a nice NN to Alexander.
