[Opinions] Alastar
I'm usually against respellings, but I really like this spelling. I like the 'star' in it, which would probably be his nickname. It's listed in the database as the only Irish form of Alexander, so that seems pretty legit, though I've never seen it except on boards. Alexander is DH's mn, and so Alastar could be honoring. WDYT of Alastar?
Do you think Alastar would always be misspelled? (I'm pronouncing it AL-uh-star, not AL-i-stair...)
For anyone who's Irish here: is Alastar the usual form in Ireland?

I too like the spelling Alastar. It looks like cleanest to me. :) But I think any kind of Alistair / Alastar / Allister would be misspelled regardless, since there's so many ways to spell it! Can't answer you're third question though, sorry.
