I love, love, love Alec and William is a nice middle name. I like John even though I find it a bit dull. I would use an unusual middle name to 'spice it up', preferably a nature name (I love nature names as middle names) like John Forrest or John Sky.
Since Alec was my favorite name for a long time Ellen and Alec was my 'perfect' sibset. I still think Ellen and Alec go well together but I know Ellen isn't very popular :(
