Irene is growing on me. I prefer it to Irena.

I like both, but I really like Irene when it's pronounced eye-ree-nee. :b I work with a girl named Irina (ee-ree-nah) and I like that spelling and prn. best, I think.

I like them both very much, though my favorite variation is Irene with the German pronunciation.

Both are really lovely names. I slightly prefer Irene, though. Seems more elegant and classic to me, but Irena is pretty and sounds young.

Irena is beautiful name, but I've never found Irene particularly great. Irina is also lovely IMO.

Irena is lovely, but I slightly prefer Irene, which is so classy.

I always thought Irene was very pretty. Soft and quiet but not weak. I prefer Irina over Irena but I like Irene better than Irina.

I like both just fine. I think I slightly prefer Irena, although if I don't prn it carefully, it comes out sounding like "arena!" ;o)Irene gives me more of a classic vibe, while Irena seems European to me. As I said, though, I like both fine, and they're quite feminine without being frilly.
