Nicole. Nicolette sounds like the product Nicorette.

Nicole is my middle name, so naturally I'd go with that.

Definitely Nicole.

Nicole. It's simpler and sounds nicer.

Nicole is horribly boring and seems outdated to me, though Nicolette is a bit frilly for my tastes but nicer than Nicole, IMO. I love Colette and Nicola, though, if you're looking for other suggestions. ;)

I'm definitely liking Nicola the more I see it. :) Colette is also growing on me. Thanks. :)

NicoletteNicolette is so beautiful and underused. It's one my PNL :)Nicole is very dated and I'm quite tired of hearing it.Nicola is also on my PNL, but I think I prefer Nicolette.

Nicole. It's my own name!
Nicolette is too long and I think she will be called Nicole or Nikki/Nikky anyway so..

NicoleNicolette makes me think of nicotine gum.
Nicola makes me think of cough drops.Nicole is simple and pretty and though maybe a little common in the 80s, I rarely hear it anymore.

To me, Nicole is chavvy and Nicolette reminds me of Nicorette. But I love the name Nicola :)

Nicole. Nicolette is weird.

Nicolette. It's a lot fresher and I love -ette names. I'm tired of Nicole.

Nicolette instantly brings to mind Nicorette, unfortunately. I have a good friend named Nicole (and I was almost a Nicole), so I really like the name. I also LOVE Colette... it's just the two put together that is unappealing to me. :(

Nicolette. Nicole is too overused.

I actually really like the name Nicole, regardless of its popularity. Nicolette is really cute too but if I had a daughter and had to choose, I'd go with Nicole (or Nichole).

Nicole. Nicolette is too fussy to me & I don't like the sound.:)

Nicolette is much fresher and spunkier than the tired and overused Nicole. But Nicola (NI-ko-la *not* ni-KOLE-uh) would be even better :-D

I didn't realize......that Nicola could be pronounced NI-ko-la. I always pronounced it ni-KOLE-uh and didn't like it. The first pronunciation totally changed my view on the name! Thanks lol :)

No worries :-)My mother's name is Nicola, so I've grown up hearing NI-ko-la and hearing her complain about people that use the other pronunciation :-D It's a very English pronunciation and she's from England - I suspect the US pronunciation has been influenced by the Spanish pronunciation, which is the -KOLE- one.

I'm American, and I went to high school with a girl named Nichola. It was pronounced the way your mother pronounces it, so I don't think the Ni-KOLE-a pronunciation is universal in America.

Ooo, now that's a thought. I've been leaning toward Nicolette because I'm currently all about '-ette' endings, however Nicola is very appealing. I'll give it some more thought. Thanks! :)

Nicolette. Nicole is too painfully of my generation for me to find it in any way appealing. And Nicolette is more likely to get cute nicknames, like Nico or Coco or Colette or Nettie. :DArray (is reminded of Stella Colette, an old character of hers)

Nettie and Coco are adorably cute. Plus, there's always the love story of Aucassin and Nicolette for an association. :D
