Sarah - My own name. I don't like having it for several reasons, but recognise it's a very pretty name. In the book/movie, it's spelled Sara. I much prefer Sarah, though! Some suggestions:
Sarah Elaine - My own name, I couldn't resist.
Sarah Margery
Sarah Hortensia
Sarah June
Sarah Juliet
Sarah Eglantine
Sarah Penelope
If you couldn't tell, I prefer Sarah paired with a more unusual/odd name.Ermengarde [g] - Wow...I like this a lot, actually. Very pretty. Some suggestions:
Ermengarde Joan
Ermengarde Sarah
Ermengarde Freya
Ermengarde Rosa
Ermengarde June
Ermengarde Clare
Ermengarde CeliaGertrude - My new love, coincidentally. My favourite pairing for it at the moment is Gertrude Catherine. Other ideas:
Gertrude Emilia
Gertrude Ophelia - Waaaaaay too Hamlet? Probably.
Gertrude Melisande
Gertrude Millicent
Gertrude Jane
Gertrude Margery
Gertrude Katharina
Gertrude Beatrice
Gertrude PhilippaRebecca - Nothing wrong with it, but it's never really grabbed me. Sort of blah. Sounds also like an annoying bitch in high school, esp. with the nickname Becky. Suggestions:
Rebecca Julie
Rebecca Margaret
Rebecca Katherine
Rebecca Abigail
Rebecca Salome
Rebecca Constance
Rebecca Jeanine

Sara- My name, nice enough I do like it better then Sarah though.
Ermengarde- Like this too. A lot of "garde"/"gard" names are GPs of mine (I think I got that from my mom she had a dog named Hildegarde)
Gertrude- Really like it.
Rebecca- Nice but nms. Other names from the movie I like:
Lavinia
Jane
Rosemary
Lottie
Ruth

I love Sarah and Gertrude. Ermengarde is ok. I don't like Rebecca too much.

I love that movie!I like Rebecca (the name) a lot. Sarah is good too. Ermegarde is just plain weird. Gertrude to me just does have a good or even decent sound. That is one of most disliked names that have been popular.

I like Sarah and Rebecca although they are very common.

I liked that movie when I was a chld, though it is really strange when one thinks about it.
I don't particularly like any of the names though.

I like Sara and Rebecca, but I wouldn't use them. I really like Lottie (Charlotte) and Lavinia, more names from the movie.

It's Sara, actually--her name is Sara Crewe. I love Sara and Rebecca, for obvious reasons, but I wouldn't use them myself. Gertrude's fine for someone else's kid--really cool, actually, IMO--but not one that really gets me. And Ermengarde herself didn't like being Ermengarde (again, this is how it's properly spelled); I wouldn't name another child it.Array
