what do you think? I'm starting to like it alot. however I think I would use it as a nn. So any full names that would work with the nn Miley? thanks

I think it's childish, a baby-nickname like Tiffy or Kiki. It might suit a child-woman image like that sold by Ms Cyrus, but it doesn't really suit grown women, IMO.

Ditto.Very well put. I can't see a Miley, Kiki, or Tiffy past 25, unless they're one of those super-annoying, always happy, always chipper, super-made-up women who spend all their waking hours presenting a perfect image of youth.

I'm tired of hearing that name...I'm sorry, but I just don't really like Miley Cyrus that much. And, I think most people would associate that with her. Miley is a nick name for her anyway. I don't like it.

Miley Cyrus got it as a kid because she "smiled so much" that they started calling her Smiley. Which got shortened to Miley, and it stuck.
...How's Smiley? Or Maia, I guess.

For a girl? Emiy, Emilia, Milena. For a boy, Miles perhaps.

NO. Please.Sorry, I just think it's horribly trendy right now because of Hannah Montana, and not even attractive at all, IMO. And that's as a full name or a nn. I can handle Maile, but not Miley (or Mylee, Mylie, Mieleigh, etc.).

As I've said before, I HATE being called Miley (which people tend to do). Though, I think my main objection to it is that I like my name so much and I don't feel I need a nickname. So, if Miley was my full name I might like more than I like it as a nickname (if that makes any sense). So, if you like it, maybe it wouldn't be to bad to use it as a full name.

I like it for a while. I have a friend named Maile.

I really detest it, actually.
mostly because I'm tired of hearing of "Miley Cyrus HANNAH MONTANA!!!" it makes my eye twitch, and she irritates me no end for some reason.

I was in Ireland a couple of years ago. I say the name Miley (I can't recall the exact spelling, but this looks close) on a store front. I asked my aunt what Miley stood for / was it an Irish name? She wasn't sure and thought that perhaps it was short for Michael / Miles.

I believe Miley is an Irish surname.

There is actually already a name that sounds like Miley, its spelt Maile and its been around for awhile. The first thing of think of with your spelling is teen pop sensation hannah montana. Apparently her nn as a kid was smiley and that got shortened. Her real names is Desiree hope(?)

Close...Her first name is Destiny. But I agree, she's definitely the first thing that comes to mind when I hear the name Miley!

I find her name so stupidDestiny Hope? WTF? Those are two rather different concepts.

Good call, I think it would be better used as a nn too. It's alright but nms.Mildred nn Miley
Emmeline nn Miley
Milena nn Miley
Miloslava or Mila nn Miley
Camila nn Miley
Maile - pro. my-leh nn Miley
Magdalen nn Miley
Maiara nn Miley? What do you think of those? I know they don't all have the "MY" sound, so some might be far fetched. But they might work.
