[Opinions] Grace
Grace seems so common, but I haven't met one person bearing the name.I have an unstable opinion about it, and am beginning to prefer it as a surname. What do you think of the name Grace?

It is a family name for me and I like it, but I don't think I would ever use it. I know my mom doesn't like it for one reason, heh.

It's an old-fashioned name that has come back strong in recent years. Although I'm hearing it more and more for a middle name. I have a great Aunt Grace (in her 70s) and my hubby has a great Aunt Grace (in her 80s) so it was popular with that generation too.

Almost forgotI also used to work with a woman named Grace who is also in her early 70s. This lady and the aforementioned aunts were all children of Italian immigrants, so I gather it was popular in that demographic.

I've always liked the name Grace. But if you are thinking of a name for a dd and want it to be unique, then you had better pass Grace by. In 2004, it was the 13th most popular name for a girl in the U.S., 11th in the U.K., and 9th in Canada. You may not have met many adult Grace's in your life, but the next generation will be chock full of them.

It's so common as a middle name, so as a first name it'd be nice. I've known one woman with the first name Grace, and she's in her forties now. She sometimes went by her first and middle, Grace Marie.

I love it. I prefer it as a fn, it seems quite overused as a mn. And yeah, it does seem really common, but I can only think of one Grace that I've met.

I think it's cute with the nn Gracie. And I agree, people say it's so common, but I have not met ONE Grace in my entire life.__________________________________________________
