I've never met an Yvonne who pronounces their name yuh-von, and it's a pretty common name for women of about 40-45 around here. If I met a yuh-von, I honestly think I'd laugh out loud, I'd be so convinced they were joking.

From my new book...(The book is a spoof btw, for those who didn't read my earlier post)"In almost every language Yvonne carries the meaning "French sounding"LOLS xx--

How is Y-vonne, pronounced? It wasn't phonetically clear.I like Yvonne like yuh-vawn, but I also have an aunt that pronounces it ee-vawn."No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

I only like it pronounced as EE-vonThis is the correct French pronounciation of Yvonne. And this is how we pronounce it in Sweden too. Though is is more of a mom's name in Sweden. If it is pronounced as Yah-von, I think it should be spelt as Yahvonne, I find this pronounciation confusing."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
