[Opinions] WDYTO . . . Viorica
I was just wondering what everyone thought of it -- i've grown qutie fond of it recently. Also, what do you think of the similar name Shonica -- Shon is supposed to be Moon in traditional Romany but, because of the nature of the Romany themselves and the lack of information that I've managed to find, I think it's highly unlikely. Of course, if any of you know the truth I'd be greatful to hear it. Well, thus ends my tangent.

Viorica is a Romanian name, not a Romany name, though I am sure the Romany use it too.

Viorica is a Romanian name . . . Shon, the first element in the name Shonica, is supposedly a Romany word for "Moon". ICA is a common feminine suffix in Eastern Europe, from what I understand. I thank you for the help, but it was the origin and meaning of the word "Shon" I was curious about.

Pronunciation?How are they pronounced?
I'd guess Vee-Or-ik-uh
Kinda cool.Shonica- Shone-ik-a or Shawn-ik-a?
Rather over the top- just Shona would be fine, though I prefer Shana or Shani - Shanica would be pretty though.

Viorica is vee-OR-ee-ka, i think. Following a similar pronunciation guide, Shonica would be SHO-nee-ka.
