[Opinions] Edward?
WDYT of this name? I think it's great, but unfortunately all of my friends are Twilighters and a lot of the time it reminds me of Edward Cullen. My combo is Lucian Edward.

Ooh, I love Edward! For a while it was my favorite boy name and it still occupies a high spot on my list. Lucian Edward is rather attractive. My fave Edward combo is Caedmon Edward.

Love itJust recently I've decided this. I find it odd that it reminds people of Twilight. Edward has been around for a very long time. I think of kings before I'd think of a character. I'd never heard of Twilight until like a week ago anyway.Lucian Edward is nice. It reminds me of my cousin's name, Luke Edward.

Very nice name. Impacting, but without being stodgy. It happens to be my brother's middle name, Matthew Edward (named after my dad).Fight the association! It's too good of a name to be tied down to any one thing. :)

I too didn't really think about Edward until I read Twilight (2 days to go!!! ^^), but I think that the name itself is beautiful. Very strong and handsome... I think you could definately name your child Lucien Edward or even Edward as first name. It sounds great and as already mentioned by somebody, it won't always be associated with Twilight (other than Harry, which I wouldn't call my kid in near or even further future).Edit: I really like Edward Lysander by the way ^^

I love Edward. To me, it's less Twilight and more Jane Eyre. Though I must say those Twilight characters have excellent names all-around.Lucian Edward is very handsome. I approve.

I didn't really think much about Edward until I read Twilight (I had Edgar on my list before), but I don't automatically associate the name with him (unless a friend starts talking and mentions Edward because none of my friends talk about names with me :[). I love the name. Love Lucian Edward. My Edward combo is Edward Morgan Christophe.

I do think the name Edward is currently more associated with Edward Cullen (at least, amongst the 12-24 female age group lol), but it's a name that's been around for a very long time, and been popular just as long. So, while it may currently bring to mind Edward Cullen for a lot of people, it won't always.(And I certainly hope so as one of my favorite boy names is Jasper! And I don't want the association to Jasper Hale.)
