[Opinions] Adele
I'm in love with Adele. It makes me think of Paris and of a gray, rainy day and I think it's charming. I'd probably spell it Adèle. What do you think of Adele? What does it make you think of? Have you known anyone with the name?Adelle, Adele or Adèle?Do you prefer Adeline? What do you think of Adeline?Oh and do you think Adele will get common? Adeline? Adelaide? What is your favorite Ad-name?

I don't mind it. I knew a girl named Adele who was in my sisters class in primary school, and I also knew an Adela at a daycare center I worked at. There was a little Adelaide who used to live near my dad too. My favourite Ad name is Adair.

I love it, but it's my bf's maternal grandmother's fn and also the name of other family members of his, that were named after the grandmother. One of his neice's has the mn Adelle.

I really like Adele, it's been growing on me a lot the last few days. I know one Adele (who I saw the other day, which is probably why the name is growing on me) who I think is around 22 or so and really nice, and who has the most awesome curly hair, so that's my first point of reference for the name.
I can't pick between Adele and Adèle, I think it looks just as nice either way.
I like it over Adeline and Adelaide, but don't think any of them will get overly common anytime soon.
Adele is probably my favourite Ad- name, I can't think of any others just now. Although out of that whole family of names I like Alice the best.

Adele is one of my most favorite names, and I hope to be able to use it some day. Short, sweet, simple, and classic.Adele is my favorite spelling. In my family it was the name of my great-grandmother, my grandmother, an aunt, and a cousin - so it is very much a family name. It wouldn't stop me from using it.I love the nickname Della. I always thought of Adeline as a nickname for Adele and not the other way around.I pray it will not get *too* common, however, I would like to see more little Adele's in the world.

I have a cousin Adele (my best-friend, she is 18). My mother also has a friend Adel (she is in her 50s). I have always loved the name. I think Adele is the best spelling, Adelle has to many letters for how simple the name is and (at least for someone in the US) I find names with accents pretentious and sometimes kind of trashy (like the parents were trying to hard to be classy). Adeline is cute, but it seems kind of incomplete to me. Like it should be Madeline but someone typoed. I love Adelaide though. I think that with the name Addison becoming so popular people are going to turn to other "Ad" names (Adele, Adeline, Adelaide) as alternatives but I don't really see any getting to popular.

I love Adele, it as a family name for me (spelled Adell which is my favorite spelling). I wouldn't mind using it as a FN or MN someday, it's definitely my favorite of all the Ad- names. I think it's very sweet and classy and has a bit of spunk to it.

Adele is fine, as is Adeline. Both are quite pretty. If it were my child, I would go with Adelia (uh-DEEL-ee-uh).My favorite Ad name is Ada.Ada Frances is on my short list.

I fell in love with Adele, this spelling, when I read "Jane Eyre." I couldn't understand why everyone else wasn't in love with it too. It's so simple and elegant. Nn Addie is cute, but I prefer Del (so cool). All of the Ad- names are great. But Adele is my favorite. (The Adelle spelling looks odd to me.)

Love Adele, prefer Adèle myself. Dislike Adelle, and Adeline, hate Adelaide.

I don't prefer Adeline to Adele - I like them for different reasons. Adele makes me think of Paris, too, but Adeline sounds old-fashioned. Both are charming.I would choose Adeline over Adele though, because every time I mention Adele my husband says "Dude, you're getting a Dell!"I think all 3 will get more popular, because of the nickname Addy, like Madeline stands in for ultra-popular Madison because they still want the nickname Maddy. They'll stand in for Addison the same way, I think. But I don't think any of them will ever be in the Top 10 or anything.
