Well, with the Spanish prn of ee-NES, I love it. I think it sounds soft & pretty. However, it was my adoptive maternal grandmother's name, & they were German, so they prn it EYE-nezz. I really don't care for it prn that way! :o)

I love Inez (or Ines) too. It is a form of Agnes but softer. I often wonder why Inez/Ines is so unusual when Agnes is so common (Agnes is popular in Sweden).

but, just wondering. In Australia, is Inez normally pronounced with the first syllable rhyming with "buy" or "bee"?

Inez is one of my off-and-on favorites. Great name!
