I dislike Maxwell, it's gotten uber-trendy, and I think it has such a snooty sound to it..Like "My name is Carlton Maxwell Rupert, the third"I prefer just plain adorable Max.

Love it, but I also love Maximilian too.

I like itThough not as much as Maximilian in full. Also you do get the coffee brand imagery.

It's nice. My dad's brother is Maxwell Marston but the majority of the time, he's just referred to as Max.

I love it. I think it's a great full name for Max.

Sorry, but I never understood its appeal. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I don't like x's and w's, but I don't think it's very attractive.

Just had a friend use it a few months ago. I love it. Max is a wonderful name, but it's nice to have two syllables in case he ever gets in trouble!

It reminds me too much of Maxwell House coffee :S

I just love this name. It's one of my favorites, with Max as a nickname. If my husband hadn't wanted to name our son after himself, it's likely that we would have named him Maxwell nn Max, the other possibility being Luke. If I'd ever had a second son, his name would most likely have been Maxwell. Love it.

I'm not too fond of it. The -well ending makes it too much of a surname for me and I dislike the (nick)name Max. I also have a very good friend whose last name is Maxwell, so I can't picture it as a given name.

I like it, but I prefer it for a middle name. =]
