[Opinions] Asha
My last post for today, I promise ;)What do you think of Asha for a girl? I really like it and I think it goes well with Noah, which is my favorite girls name.Do you know anyone named Asha? Do you pronounce it ASH-ah?Do you think it's too close to overused Ashley or Ashlyn? Does it sound dated to you because of that?Noah Isabella and Asha Callista or Asha Estella for sisters?
Noah Isabella Aimée and Asha Callista Marie or Asha Estella Marie for sisters?

I dislike it. It looks incomplete and made up. I don't know anyone the name and I prounounce it Ash-uh. Obviously, it's extremely similar to Ashley/Ashlyn/Ashton and while it doesn't sound dated, it does sound like a name that's trying to be trendy. I definitely don't like Noah on a girl, though.

Asha Bhosle is a really famous Indian singer who sang on the soundtracks of about a million Bollywood movies, so when I see it, I think of her. I like it, would pronounce it ASH-ah, and don't think it sounds dated at all - it reminds me more of Ayshea/Aisha/Ayse and all its other variant spellings.
Still not really going for Noah on a girl, though :)

I pronounce it AH-sha. I like Asha - it has a strange yet pretty sound.

I think it's pretty. At first I thought it was a feminine form of Asher. I've never met anyone named Asha. No, it's in the same vibe but not too close. I don't think Ashley and the like are dated, really. I prefer Asha Estella.
