I came across a little boy named Ocean a couple of months back. Unfortunately this only heightened my dislike for it. Perhaps it was something to do with the mother calling it out at hime every other second! lol.

Thoughts?

I like Ocean for a boy and I actually consider it a masculine name. Oceanne would be the female variant in my opinion. Ocean just doesn't seem like a feminine name.

Absolutely not. In my mind it's like naming your child "Pacific" or "Landmass". Sure, it sounds better, but it's almost as ridiculous.

I like Ocean on a boy.

However, like all word names, I'd only use it as a MN. My combo is Levi Ocean Xolani.

I don't like Ocean all that much just because I'm not a fan of nature names, but it does sound better on a boy than on a girl.

I like it, I have a soft spot for earthy names on boys. I prefer River though, I love River.
