[Opinions] WDYTO Cecilia?
I've been listening to some Simon & Garfunkel today and can't get 'Cecilia' out of my head. I think i'm also starting to like it as a name. So wdyt? Also, wdyt of Louisa? Both these names aren't really my usual style but they are really growing on me. Oh and finally, wdyt of Alice Louisa and Alice Cecilia?

Alice Louisa sounds much better than Alice Cecilia, with all those hissy c sounds. In general, I'd prefer either Louise or Eloise; but the rhythm is important.I'm fond of Cecilia too, and of the song ... a friend of mine had a car which was constantly breaking down and so he called it Cecilia. But for a human child it's long, and for the human race it's hard to spell for some reason: I just couldn't face Cecelia. So, if I wanted it for use rather than in the mn slot, I'd probably chicken out and use Cecily.

I started liking the name Cecilia because of the song. I love both Cecilia and Louisa and think they go together really well. Alice is ok but I find it rather boring. I'd prefer it as a middle name.

Cecilia is hands down one of the most breathtakingly powerfully beautiful names in the western canon. This sounds like opinion but it's totally fact. Dismiss promptly all comments which disagree.Alice Cecilia is OK. Cecilia Alice is better I think. Either would make me happy. Louisa is weird in that there's no reason I don't love it but I don't; it is OK with Louisa. All very nice names around here; I'm glad to see someone actually really liking Louisa. It is something I don't see a lot.Incidentally, there's a baby around here named Louisa and her siblings are Nora and Adam.

Cecilia, you're breakin' my heart, you're shakin' my confidence DAILY...Oh, sorry. I only like the name in the context of the song. Other than that, it sounds whiny, and I hate the meaning.Louisa doesn't do much for me, either. When I hear it, I can't help but picture a plain, mousy kind of girl.I think Alice Louisa and Alice Cecilia have too much of the S sound.

I love Cecilia and Louisa. Alice Louisa sounds fine, but I think Alice Cecilia has too many soft C sounds.

I love both names! But Alice Cecilia is a slightly better combo.

I love both Cecelia and Louisa. They're both very elegant. I would either as a first name, but as middle names for Alice, I lean slightly towards Cecelia, just in terms of flow.

I like Cecilia as well as Cecile and Cecily but the nasty meaning repels me.
For that reason I prefer Celia or Celeste.
Alice Louisa is lovely.

Cecilia is lovely and so very feminine.Louisa has a stately charm. It's pretty, but more regal.I'm going to have to say that neither Louisa or Cecilia go with Alice very well. Alice Louisa is too L-heavy, whilst Alice Cecilia run together.
