I wouldn't use it but I don't mind it. It's got a long history of use as a first name in the UK, especially in Scotland. I think I'd actually prefer it to Jack - so bored with Jack.

Like Pollock?Nifty. I like it. I loved the movie Pollock and the fact that he was called "Jacks" for short. Super awesome that. Of course, he was a crazy alcoholic jerk in an undershirt, so that's coloured my perception of the name as well, but I still like it. I wouldn't use it on a human, but I like it. I appreciate it.

Prefer Jack times a million. Jackson is trendy as anything and sounds super-whiney in the supermarket. Plus Jaxon and Jax have spawned from Jackson - double ick.In Australia, I see Jackson as bogan supreme.

Jack is my top boys name, I love it to bits but I just can't get into Jackson (and definately not Jaxon). I don't know why, it's just not a name that appeals to me. =/

IckSorry, but that has got to be one of my least favorite names in the entire world. It's like the captain of trendy country names. I really like Jack, though, although I prefer that as a nickname.

I like it. I prefer just Jack or even John nn Jack but I think Jackson is a perfectly nice name. It is kind of boring and trendy though and I would never actually consider it for a kid of my own.

I don't understand why people like it.

I like Jack...but Jackson is too trendy for me.

I love it. I like it more than Jack, which I like too. With Jackson you can always use Jack as a nn if you want too.

In general, I'm not a fan of surnames as first names.
