[Opinions] Love and Unity
I was just thinking if I had twin girls right now Id love to name them Charity and Harmony (translating to "love and unity"). I love the fact they are virtuous names that represent something and not too common like Faith, Grace, Joy and others. wdyt?

I like the idea better than the reality! Harmony especially seems to lend itself to Harm and Moan as nns.I'd go for Clemency and possibly team it with Liberty if I lived in the States. Otherwise with Felicity or Ruth; or Beatrice I suppose, at a stretch.

I don't like matching virtue names, though if I had to I'd go for Constance and Prudence, maybe.

Its meaning is nice however, its a little to sweet for me. I also do not like that they both end in y. I do agree that Faith Grace Joy are over used and Charity and Harmony are nice change. I personally love Verity. All together they are not bad names and may fit your style. I still find it a little overly sweet.

Charity is really beautiful and underused, but Harmony is unattractive. Maybe it's the Har- sound that makes me think that way. It's funny that you're thinking about virtue names. Last night I had a dream that someone named her daughter Pity Marie. :/ Now there's an awful "virtue" name.

I love the names Harmony and Unity. H names for girls are so soft looking to me. And almost anything beginning with a "u" fascinates me. I'm not big on the name Charity. I suppose the musical where Shirley McLaine plays a loveable prostitute ("Sweet Charity") still claims the association. Are you asking what we think of Love as a virtue name? I can't say I'd get behind that one. Too ubiquitous.

No I was asking do you think Charity and Harmony as sister names compliment each other well?

Oh, sorry. Well, they are dancing close to the cutesy line. But I think you could still get aways with it on two conditions: (a)they are not twins, and (b) you don't feel bound to keep a theme going with any other children.

As far as virtue names go, they are quite unique. (I've certainly never met a Charity or Harmony) They're not too matchy either. I like it as a sibset.

OT"Unity Valkyrie!" (as seen in your title line.)Sorry. I had to mention again how much I love that combo. I don't love what Ms M. did with her life. But I still have to admire her parents' naming ability.
