I really like Charlotte, but I don't like nn Lottie.

I like Charlotte but I know quite a few, it's been popular here in the UK for quite a while so I wouldn't use it myself. But I like how it's feminine without being too 'frilly'.

I much prefer Lottie as a nn than Charl or Charlie.

I used to be stuck on how the name sounds without the C, but then it grew on me.
I'm undecided on Lottie...

My friend has a daughter named Charlotte! He calls her Charlie though, after his grandfather. She's the cutest baby ever, so I love it. Not too fond of Lottie though. Ick.

Eta: he only calls her Charlie sometimes. For the most part she's Charlotte.

It's got a lot of historical associations, and I like that.
I prefer Caroline, but I do like Charlotte.
However, I used to think "harlot" or "charlatan" when I saw it - the fact that it's more popular now has made those associations fade in my mind.
If I used it I'd choose Chasse as a nickname (a feminine version of Chas for Charles).
Better than Charley and Lottie imho.

I like Charlotte a lot! It's a family name on my husband's side - there are at last two, neither use a nickname.

Lottie is cute, as is Lotta. I don't like Charlie. I prefer the full name tbh.

It's one of my favorites! The nickname Lottie is kind of cute, but I could see a Charlotte outgrowing it at some point for Lotta instead.

I like it very much - it's my niece's name. I'm very glad she's a Lottie and not a Charlie.

I love Charlotte. It is so prim, sweet, soft.
Lottie is ok as a nickname (I prefer Charlotte without one). It adds a spunky playfulness.

I'm "meh" on Charlotte, but I think Lottie is adorable. I'd prefer Carlotta nn Lottie myself.

I think Charlotte is a lovely name, but quite popular. Lottie is a gorgeous nn though and would give a popular name a nice old fashioned air to it.

I like Charlotte and I love Lottie, it's much more feminine and interesting than Charley. I think Lottie is really cute!

I love Charlotte, but I've never been a fan of any of its nicknames.
