I like it. I prefer the pronunciation Lee-O-nel rather then LIE-o-nel.

It's a great name either way.

It's nice, but if it were me I would go with something like Leo. Lionel sounds a bit like an old gentleman but Leo sounds more like a real person.

I like Lionel! It's classy but not too old-fashioned. Reminds me of Lionel Richie (???) but that's not the worst assocciation I think. :-)
